Settlement Explorer

1 hour of Segway fun

The relaxed holiday vibe of Rottnest’s historic settlement is just made for Segway touring.  From the Segway Tours office located at Bedford Avenue (behind the Dome Cafe), their experienced guides will introduce you to your Segway in our practice zone before setting off to explore some of the best views of the island.  Glide along spectacular Thompson Bay, filled with boats & bathers, to the iconic Rottnest pub.  Enjoy stories of the settlement’s intriguing past and keep watch for Quokkas.  You will have plenty of time for Quokka selfies!

Leaving the settlement, the tour follows beachside paths, exploring pristine bays and popular beaches, including The Basin; one of Rottnest’s most picturesque swimming spots.  Standing sentinel over the swimmers is Bathurst Lighthouse one of the most popular photo stops on our tour.  Spare a thought for the island’s cyclists, pedaling up hills.  Their cool machines will have you back to Kingston Barracks, relaxed and comfortable.  Happy days!

Fortress Adventure

1½ hour of action packed off-road fun

Take the path less travelled as you go off-road and explore Rottnest Island’s most spectacular bays, beaches and attractions on a Segway built for adventure!   Their experienced guides will introduce you to your off-road Segway in our practice zone before setting off to delve into the fascinating military history of Rottnest Island.

You will visit the Bickley Battery gun emplacements and Jubilee lookout, and learn how important Rottnest Island was in defence strategy for Fremantle port during World War II.  Rottnest Island is renowned for its pristine beaches and secluded bays.  Their guides will explain the amazing natural habitat of the island with plenty of time to stop at stunning photo locations and perhaps a Quokka selfie along the way.

Coastal Explorer 

2 hours of scenic segway adventure

Discover the diverse landscapes of the Island from its interior salt lakes that sometimes appear pink to the stunning coastal bays on the northern side. Departing from the Segway office in the Settlement, this tour smoothly navigates around the area, passing by the historical jail and quaint cottages before making our way to Bathurst Lighthouse. Guests will traverse the bathing bays and venture into the heart of the Island, exploring the salt lakes and natural woodlands.
