Just a short ferry ride from Fremantle or Perth, Rottnest Island has long been Western Australia’s holiday destination of choice.

This is the ferry terminal to visit when going to Rottnest Island from Fremantle. Bookings for the ferry is best made online, as most of the seats can be full near the day of ferry departure, so booking in advance is preferred. Going to the ferry is straightforward after getting online tickets.

The shed was being renovated. We had to wait for the ferry in the cold, and it started drizzling and there was no cover. Someone tried an umbrella but the wind was so strong it blew it inside out.
