Fremantle Traffic Bridge

Fremantle Traffic Bridge

Details of upcoming traffic changes

What’s Happening?

Major construction works are required at the Canning Highway and Stirling Highway intersection during the Australia Day long weekend, prior to the Fremantle Traffic Bridge closure on 1 February 2026.

Road users can expect significant delays and need to plan ahead.

From Tuesday 27 January 2026, the intersection will operate under a new configuration, which will prioritise the traffic movements on Stirling Highway necessary to keep the road network flowing during the bridge closure.

What’s Changed?
