Book a package deal, tour the highlights of the island, explore by bike, snorkel under the waves or just unwind in your beachside accommodation: Rottnest Island can be as energetic or relaxed as you need it to be.
Just a short ferry ride from Fremantle or Perth, Rottnest Island has long been Western Australia’s holiday destination of choice.
With 63 gorgeous beaches, a fantastic range of guided tours and packages and some excellent places to stay, ‘Rotto’ is perfectly set-up for families, groups, couples and solo adventures.
This beautiful island also offers 45kms of walking trails, a fascinating cultural heritage and amazing native wildlife, including a colony of New Zealand fur seals and around 10,000 adorable quokkas. Swim, snorkel, hike, bike or just laze on the sand – this pocket-sized paradise really does have something for everyone.
We caught this ferry from Perth and also packaged an adventure ride by boat around Rottnest, all done very professionally and also in comfort a good company to deal with if planning a trip to Rottnest Island.

I absolutely loved Rottnest and the service from this ferry provider is excellent. Great day wished I’d stayed over night. One day is not enough. Definitely do the 90 min speed boat tour, well worth the money
Had a blast of a day. All my Rottnest Express services ran on time, and the tour guide gave lots of useful and interesting commentary for both my ferry and bus tour. On the island, the Quokkas and crystal clear water were the highlights for me.

Had a great day out, ferry was clean and on time, Adventure tour was amazing and a good mix of exhileration and nature with great skipper and first mate. Saw loads of seals and osprey - will come back during whale season.
ROTTNEST EXPRESS AND COVID-19
As part of an Australian tourism portfolio, Journey Beyond, Rottnest Express has implemented JourneySafe – a plan to keep all guests and crew safe in a post-COVID world.
We understand COVID-19 still poses a small risk, and our commitment to our guests and crew is to provide a safe and responsible environment at all times.
The rules stipulate as a transport operator the person limit and the square meter rule do not apply on transport vehicles, vessels and aircraft, however we may operate ‘reduced capacities’ for the comfort of our guests.
It remains a mandatory requirement that masks be worn whilst on-board all Rottnest Express services to and from Rottnest Island.
Wherever you see the JourneySafe tick, you’ll know we’re taking extra precautions to do just that.
