B Shed Renovations
Discover more about the developments taking place at B Shed
What’s happening?
- The B Shed terminal, and surrounding jetty area, is currently undergoing redevelopment to deliver a modern Rottnest ferry terminal and improved visitor experience within the much-loved heritage cargo shed. The $30m project is being undertaken by Fremantle Ports and is expected to be complete in August 2028.
- During construction new traffic, parking and drop-off arrangements are in place.
- Rottnest Express ferries will continue to arrive and depart as scheduled from O’Connor Landing and C Shed, with the Rottnest Express office currently located on the grassed area near E Shed.
What’s changed?
- The existing O’Connor Landing ‘kiss and ride’ car park used for luggage drop off will close during the project.
- A new ‘kiss and drop’ lane is located at the western end of the E Shed car park, near Cliff Street.
- Several 15-minute parking bays are also available next to the ‘kiss and drop’ lane.
What do I need to do?
- Get there early: guests are encouraged to arrive 45-60 minutes prior to your ferry to allow time for parking and organising luggage delivery. Alternatively, you can travel from our Northport terminal in Rous Head to take advantage of our newly renovated facilities including a licensed café, self-service luggage kiosk, and ample available parking within the terminal making for a stress-free start to your Rottnest Adventure.
