After over 60 years servicing Fremantle and Perth we have decided it’s time to give back to our amazing community by recognising the hard work of local business, individuals and not-for-profit organisations. Enter, LOCAL LEGENDS!

This initiative gives you the chance to nominate those you think are deserving of this recognition. All you need to do is fill out the form below to nominate them to go in the run to win. Please include any relevant social media handles for your nominee so we can tag them if they win.

Each week we will announce our nominations for the categories before we ‘crown’ an overall winner. There are cash prizes to be won by our weekly and overall winner, plus so much more.

We have so many goodies up for grabs by our winners, with each weekly runner up taking home $2K in cash each and a trip to Rottnest Island on us.

Our overall winner will score $4K in cash and a trip to Rottnest Island on us.

Terms & Conditions:

I. Competition Period

Competition opens 2nd September 2023 and runs until the 24th September 2023, nominations for any of the three categories can be made during this time.

II. Application Process

Nominations must be made during the campaign period above either via the form fill on the Rottnest Express website or by direct message to the Rottnest Express Facebook or Instagram.
All required details must be submitted for a nomination to be valid.

III. Judging Criteria and Selection Process

Nominations will be judged by a panel of three judges from Rottnest Express based on the below criteria:
- Business/Individual/Not-for-profit must reside in WA and have a WA postal address.
- Business/Individual/Not-for-profit must have at least 1 nomination from a nominator aside from themselves. Nominees can only nominate themselves once.
- Business/Individual/Not-for-profit must have engaged in their community in some shape or form in the last 12 months. This should be outlined clearly in the nomination.

Selection of weekly winners is to the discretion of the Rottnest Express judging panel based on the above judging criteria.
A weekly winner will be selected from each of the three categories, with a different overall winner taking out the final prize.

IV. Announcement

Winners will be contacted directly via the details provided on the nomination form. In the case where details are not provided, Rottnest Express will make every effort to contact the winner via alternative methods. After 3 business days, at which time if they are unable to reach the winner, a new winner will be selected.
Winners will be announced on a weekly basis via social media and direct mail to the Rottnest Express followers and subscribers.

V. Prize Details

Winners for each of the three categories will be awarded $2K by EFT, cheque or gift card and a trip for 2 adults to Rottnest Island.
The overall winner will be awarded $4K by EFT, cheque or gift card and a trip for 2 adults to Rottnest Island.
Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash.
Tickets are valid for 1 year from the issue date and are for travel from B Shed or Northport in Fremantle.
