Monday

5 & 12 April

9:30am Quokka Tales (For ages 7 and under)

Entertaining but educational, learn about ‘Ókka the Quokka’ and enjoy colouring in activities. Suitable for the young and young at heart.

10:15am What’s Behind Geordie?

Over the hill behind Geordie Bay, you’ll find yourself next to the Island’s ever-important wind turbines and in the middle of the Island’s Salt Lake ecosystem. Improve your Island eco-knowledge with this informative walking tour.

Note: the full tour takes approximately 1.5 hours. Shorter tour options are available.

10:30am Bickley Battery Walk
Did you know that past the Kingston Barracks lay remnants of coastal defences used in WWII? Learn more about the Island’s past defence strategies, meet your guide at the Gun Barrel on the Parade Ground.

3:30pm Birds & Beasts of Rottnest
Take a walk on the wild side! Get up close and personal with Rottnest Island’s incredible wildlife from the safety provided by a pair of binoculars.

Entertaining but educational, learn about ‘Ókka the Quokka’ and enjoy coloring in activities. Suitable for the young and young at heart.

10:15am Beach Discovery 

Take some time to beach-comb and you’ll be sure to discover many hidden secrets of Rottnest Island’s sea life.

10:30am Behind the Scenes

Ride from the Salt Store to Geordie Bay through the Basin and Longreach on this guided bike tour, showing you the Island’s inner workings and processes towards achieving a sustainable future along the way.

Note: the full tour is approximately 1.5hrs. Please bring your own bike and helmet.

3:30am Birds & Beasts of Rottnest
Take a walk on the wild side! Get up close and personal with Rottnest Island’s incredible wildlife from the safety provided by a pair of binoculars.

7:00pm Mysteries, Myths & Legends

Bring your torch and take a walk through the settlement at night whilst learning about the Island’s rich history.

With 360 degree views of the Island, the Vlamingh Lookout is one of the best places to watch the sunset.

9:30am Sand Sculptures Challenge

Step up to the challenge and get creative! Head to Geordie Bay beach to build your masterpiece with a special appearance from Pirate Pete who will judge the sculptures.

10:30am Secrets of the Lakes

The Island is home to a fascinating ecosystem generated from the Salt Lakes, explore and discover the unique biodiversity in this informative tour.

Note: the full course takes approximately 2-3 hours and requires a reasonable level of fitness. Shorter tour options are available

7:00pm Family Quiz Night 

Purchase your tickets for this quiz night from the Volunteer Guides Information Booth from 12:30-3:30 pm Monday- Thursday. Booking is essential.

9:30am Pirate Pete

Hunt for hidden treasure with Pirate Pete and his crew whilst they teach you the mysteries of the open ocean.

Please note this tour is recommended for ages 10 and under.
